CPUT honours dedicated staff

CPUT is celebrating the contributions of 200 staff members who have 3370 years of dedicated service between them during the annual Long Service Awards.

Esteemed researcher, Prof Jeanine Marnewick, has won the Communication Award of the National Science and Technology Foundation-South 32 Awards, known as the Science Oscars of South Africa.

The state of TV journalism was the focus of a thought-provoking webinar recently presented by the Media Department.

Turning waste into fashion

Students used waste material to produce eye-catching garments during the recent Online Green Fashion Show organised by the Greener Campus Initiative (GCI), a  student society advocating for environmental awareness.

Mieshka Dollie’s life flashed before her eyes when she slipped while on a hike on Lion’s Head at the end of January and fell 13 metres. 

BSc Diagnostic Radiography graduate Heinri van Zyl has been awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s medal after passing his degree summa cum laude with a 91 percent average.

CPUT will be celebrating the dedication and hard work of 1 209 graduates during our first-ever digital graduation on June 25.
