Funding boost for food security programme

A R100 000 donation by humanitarian organisation, the Iqraa Trust, is set to boost an innovative programme designed to give food security to the communities surrounding CPUT’s Wellington campus.

Over 150 lives have been saved by staff and students of the CPUT who recently donated blood on the Cape Town campus.

The burgeoning local film industry has seen a spike in Hollywood productions taking place in Cape Town and riding the crest of that wave is CPUT alumnus and part time lecturer Daryne Joshua.

A whopping 20% off accommodation and conferencing – that’s what all alumni of the university can expect when visiting Best Western Cape Suites Hotel.

The fundraising arm of the CPUT has thrown its weight behind the student-led initiative to ease hunger in residences this International Mandela Day.

The hard work and contribution to industry by two CPUT alumnae has been recognized by the South African Dental Technicians Council (SADTC).
