Our training and development programs offer you a range of skills that will help you get what you want out of your studies, work, or life.

First year students

As a first year student, you can benefit from attending a series of interactive and very practical workshops, aimed at equipping you with the necessary skills to successfully manage yourself and adjust to campus life and to succeed academically.

Some topics covered are:

  • Managing change and adjustment to campus life
  • Learning and studying skills
  • Time management
  • Staying motivated and goal orientated
  • Problem solving and decision making
  • Managing stress and exam anxiety.

Our Multi-cultural Leadership Foundation Course is specifically designed for first year students who want to learn more about other cultures. It also offers you a chance to develop your self-esteem and self-confidence as a future leader. Within the course you will enter into debates and discussions about a variety of diversity and civil society issues. You will act as a mentor for other students.

Second and final year students

As a student in your second or final year, you can benefit from attending a series of interactive and very practical workshops, aimed at equipping you with some skills that may enhance your readiness to face workplace demands.

  • How to prepare for and handle your first job interview
  • Application for a job
  • CV writing
  • Networking
  • How to manage conflicts and frustration in the work place
  • Presentation skills
  • Assertiveness
  • Managing stress
  • Building positive workplace relations and dealing with diversity in the workplace.
