Academic’s PhD a first for SA

A CPUT academic has become the first person in South Africa to earn a PhD in Forensic Medicine and his work is helping to improve the forensic accountability with which emergency care providers respond to victims of gender-based violence.

The CPUT Residence Business & Risk Assessment Centre has launched an on-line accreditation system which will refine the process of sourcing suitable student accommodation.

CPUT is going off the grid.

CPUT is water wise

Grounds and garden’s personnel use mainly recycled water to keep CPUT’s campuses green despite the City of Cape Town’s water restrictions.

Innovation, research and teaching activities in the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering will be further advanced with the consolidation of the department on the Bellville Campus this July.
