Sewing for studies

Jeanette Niyidufasha arrived in South Africa from Rwanda in 2005. She first obtained a Diploma in Mathematical Technology from CPUT in 2015. After a year of being unemployed, the married mom of two decided to return to CPUT to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, which now enables her to teach Maths and Physics.

The International Conference on Business and Management Dynamics, which is hosted by the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, has been recognized by AOSIS Publishers for its outstanding contribution to Open Access Journal.

Dr Bongani Ncube, a researcher at the Centre for Water and Sanitation Research, has recently scooped a 2017 Water Research Commission (WRC) Knowledge Tree Award.

A CPUT staffer is going to Ireland next year after being awarded a full doctoral scholarship.

A willingness to tackle difficult topics and include creative influences in his lectures have earned a CPUT lecturer a top teaching award.

This year the university rolled out its Bachelor of Environmental Health, a four-year programme designed to ensure graduates have the appropriate skills to work as Environmental Health Practitioners.
