Grade 11 and 12 learners will have the opportunity to tour the Somatology Department’s state of the art facilities during its Open Day tomorrow (August 31).

The event will take place on the District Six Campus between 10 am and 2 pm and will give learners and their teachers the chance to engage with academic staff and students.

The department will outline the qualifications on offer, including the three-year Diploma in Somatology. Learners can also look forward to various demonstrations of treatments being done at the department’s modern clinic and an exhibition of work done by students.

Information brochures will also be made available.

Somatology is an exciting field that combines multi-disciplinary areas of study including health, beauty, wellness, skin care and business entrepreneurship.
