Registration of International Students

REGISTERED: CPUT is attracting a large number of international students

Affordability and high quality education programmes have ensured that CPUT remains a top study destination for international students.

And the proof is in the registration numbers.

During the last two weeks CPUT has registered a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate students from across the globe.

And the numbers are expected to rise as more students will register by the cut-off date of 31 January.

International Officer Zinzi Nkalitshana says the registration of international students has been running smoothly.

“We have registered a large number of new students this year of which the bulk is from SADC countries,” she says.

And to make sure students feel at home, a number of international students are assisting at the registration points and also making sure students are aware of what is all on offer at CPUT.

Postgraduate student Odette Bakam from Cameroon, who is signing students up at the Association of International Students desk, says many opt for CPUT because it is affordable.

Everiett Mthunzi, who is enrolled in the MTech Electrical Engineering programme, says CPUT has a good reputation as a university that offers top quality education and hands-on training.

Mthunzi, who comes from Zimbabwe, says both his siblings also completed their studies at CPUT.

“This is a very good university,” he says.

*All students who still need to register must consult the Registration 2013 document on the CPUT homepage.
